This channel is designed to give live instructions & tips to persons who want to get a jump-start on flying remote control airplanes, gliders, quadcopters, helicopters, and cars. Also, as I am a retired ex-certified professional photographer, from time to time I will be posting videos for photographers who want to learn camera operation, lighting, posing, and post-production techniques whether in the studio or on location. This channel is very transparent in its comments and presentations and I will always be glad to support and help its subscribers. Enjoy!
Backyard Fireworks - June 29, 2024
Sometimes living in the right place at the right time gives you opportunities that fall into your lap. Hearing sounds like severe thunderclaps that shook my house I went to the front door and discovered my city was putting on a fireworks show before the 4th celebration. So, I grabbed the DJI Air2s and sent it airborne to capture this beautiful fireworks show within my backyard.

The Rea's Creek Aqueduct is a remarkable pre-Civil War structure in Augusta, Georgia. Now part of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area, the aqueduct is part of a park that fascinates visitors because of its ancient stone arches, rocky outcrops, and the rushing waters of one of the best waterfalls in Augusta's River Region.

Stone Mountain Park Grist Mill

The Grist Mill at Stone Mountain Park was original located near Ellijay, GA. It was moved into the park in 1965. The Gibbs, who owned other mills as well, owned this mill. It was built in 1869 by Fletcher McDonald Grady and his son Henry.

The Police Department of the City of Grovetown GA sponsored their 1st Annual Cruisin’ For Christmas Car Show at Liberty Park over the weekend to a large crowd of custom car owners and residents who casually walked among the fancy automobiles on display. Both ground level and drone aerial cinematography captured all the sights and sounds of the event.

Capt Obvious here: All tail draggers need gentle jabs of right rudder to counter left turning tendency from motor torque, etc. Up elevator helps keep tailwheel down until speed increases and pilot neutralizes elevator to let tail left and steers with rudder through lift-off.

Thanks for leaving your comment and you are correct. This was a maiden flight and Sam placed a rock in the nose because he didn't have weights available to bring up the CG. Next flight he'll have it all figured out I'm certain. Enjoy!

I have always LOVED this house and property. Thank you for posting this video! I love the inside and the furniture. Great work with the drone! And I hope the family keeps this home, I know the land alone is very valuable, but I’d hate to see it sold & torn down.

Hello my Dania Beach brother. You sold me on the fireplace and wrap around porch. Then the massive garage and workshop. Can't get any better. Then I saw the furniture. With the exception of the wall mounted television. It has to be from the 30s to the late 60s. Is this a museum? Utterly beautiful and fascinated. Thank you so much for taking me out of miserable south Florida.
Not a museum but the long lived residence of a 98 year old aunt of a friend of mine.

Yes, but not that the throttle works differently on each one and may not be compatible with the drone you are flying.

Hey, FL Brother, thanks for the comment. I wish I could have recorded more of the mill, but it was tightly surrounded by tall GA pines with constant tourist foot traffic walking through the scene. Unfortunately the building is totally locked down, so I have no clue what the insides look like. Enjoy!

Hello my Dania Beach brother. That is some fine American muscle. Looks like an awesome event. You did the whole event justice with the drone footage. Now for the bad news. There was another drive by on Stirling road and 12TH Avenue. Guy pulled up at a red light and opened fire. Both were hit and the young girl died. This place is so depressing. I'm ready to move so bad, but I can't leave my mom. So I do the next best thing. I pray hard every day. Willie, you have a safe and blessed Christmas. Someday, I promise, some old skinny white guy is going to be asking. "Where is Willie". Until that day comes, you and your family are always in my prayers.

I'm getting the impression that even with BSO being on duty they are doing a poor job of enforcement. Makes you wonder. Let God lead your heart about moving (when the time comes) and don't hesitate if He tells you to trust Him with the decision. I don't regret one day that we left our old neighborhood and left EVERYTHING behind. Merry Christmas to you and your mom.

Hey, Ron, thanks. For 13 yrs I've threaten myself to photograph this event and FINALLY (thanks to Mr. DJI) I got around to doing it. I feel I could have done better filming, but the little kid at the end of the clip kept bugging me about flying the drone and I lost concentration and time giving him that opportunity. It is still available in Europe. Called Robbe Arcus II. So spare parts are available too. I love this plane. Only the CG was not correct

As usual, thanks. This was a fun shoot for me. I wished we had the kind of skyline that I saw in ATL last week, but couldn't get the opportunity to video. ATL's airspace blankets the entire area. No telling what kind of trouble I could have gotten into.
